Children

All Saints’ offers Christian Education to the children of all families who worship with us. Classes for children from Pre-School age through 7th grade are available every Sunday during the 10 am service.  Opportunities for fellowship and community outreach are important components of our program. Please read on for more information about Christian Education at All Saints’ Episcopal Church.

Nursery/Pre-School
(Infant - 4 Years)

Nursery care is provided during the 10 a.m. service on Sundays.  Children from infancy to four years old are provided with developmentally appropriate activities and materials. Pre-school children are introduced to God and His Word through the reading of simplified Bible stories and other literature, music, songs, art, and prayer. Our children are brought during the Eucharist to be blessed by the priest, or receive communion, and then return to the nursery or sit with their parents for the remainder of the service.

Sunday School
(K - 7th Grade)

Following the seasonal cycle of the Church Year (Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter and Pentecost), students in grades K through 7 share in a more formal, but fun and active curriculum. Each Sunday’s Gospel lesson reinforces their understanding of God and His Word.  As our children develop, participation in church service increases, and opportunities to serve as acolytes and lectors are provided.

Teens (7th Grade - High School)

Teens have the opportunity to attend and participate in the 10 a.m. service.  They share in opportunities for fellowship and service to the church and community.

Vacation Bible School

Every June, All Saints’ Church provides a free week-long Vacation Bible School (VBS) for the children in the community.  Using a different theme each year, children learn through songs, games, Bible stories and verses, science activities, crafts, snacks and fellowship, about Jesus’ love for us.

Our VBS has a community component in which children learn the importance of outreach, service, and sharing as monetary contributions and food are collected and donated to charities.

Safeguarding God's Children

All teachers and staff must successfully complete a background check and are required to take the online course, “Safeguarding God’s Children,” offered by the Episcopal Church in Southeast Florida.
